He has led international banking divisions, managed multi-currency deposit portfolios, and overseen teams of up to 25 professionals across Mauritius and global markets. Throughout his career at institutions including ABC Banking Corporation, AfrAsia Bank, and Barclays operations across Mauritius, Seychelles, Ghana and Rwanda, he has been responsible for international desk management, KYC governance, cross-border transaction structuring, and regulatory compliance oversight.

Leckraj has played a strategic role in establishing international representative offices, developing global correspondent banking networks, and designing operational frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations. His background combines commercial banking acumen with disciplined risk governance — an essential balance in today’s scrutinised environment.
